What happens to transparency
JPG cannot store transparent pixels. They are filled with white before the picture is written, which is what most people expect. If you need to keep the transparency, convert to WebP or leave the file as PNG and use the PNG compressor instead.
Expected savings
A 3 MB screenshot with photo content becomes about 300 to 600 KB at quality 85. Flat graphics and text with sharp edges gain less and can show soft edges at low quality, so use 90 for those.

Can I convert JPG to PNG here?
Yes, choose PNG in the Convert mode. The file usually grows, because PNG stores every pixel without loss.
Is the conversion lossless?
No. JPG is a lossy format; a higher quality number gives a closer match to the PNG.
How many files can I convert?

Does the resolution change?
No, the pixel size stays the same unless you use the Resize mode.
